Bodnant Welsh Food
Furnace Farm is a wonderful range of farm buildings dating from the 18th century in the Conwy Valley. It is just off the A470 from Llandudno to Betws y Coed and close to the A55.
We want to give new life to the buildings as a Centre for Welsh food. We will focus on using local food - which will be good for you, good for local producers in Wales and good for the environment.
These are some of the things that we want to offer:
Local Produce
A wide range of local produce for sale; there will be opportunities for farmers and growers, cheese-makers, cooks and bakers, indeed, anybody involved in producing food or drink to bring their produce for us to sell. Both traditional and new products will be welcome.
Are you, or will you be, a producer of food in Wales? Can we work with you to promote and sell your produce?
A culinary school
We will be offering day and week-end courses for everybody as well as longer courses for professionals in the catering industry.
Are you in the catering industry in Wales? Or do you simply like cooking? Tell us what sort of courses you would like.
Production on site
We will have facilities for producing food on site - for example, bread, cheese and ice-cream. There will also be smaller units for people who do not need a big space but would like to produce food with a market on their doorstep.

Restaurant and tea-rooms
A restaurant and tea-rooms where everyone, both visitors and local people, will be able to sample Welsh food at its best, whilst enjoying views of the Conwy Estuary and the Carneddau hills.
We look forward to welcoming you and your family to Furnace in a couple of years time. Restoration work on Furnace Farm will start soon so watch this space for progress.
