Walking

If you are renting one of our holiday cottages, you would be welcome to walk on over 20 miles of attractive rides and paths through the Estate’s beautiful private woodland and farmland. These rides were made early in the last century for pony trap access throughout the Estate. Coupled with the spectacular countryside, this makes the Estate an ideal spot for walkers.

Llyn Syberi
Fishing

All the fishing on the Estate has been let. Some of it has been let to the Hiraethlyn Fishing Club, who are happy to sell day tickets for the coarse fishing on Llyn Syberi.

Please contact Roy Kenrick on 01492 650529.

Shooting

The lie of the land on the Estate, hilly and extensively wooded with relatively small stands of woodland, makes for shooting of the very highest quality, with high and fast birds. The shooting on the Estate has been divided into four parts, and each part let to a different lessee.

The main part of the shoot on the Estate, comprising the best shooting, has been let to Paddy Byrne. Whole days (for 8 guns), or single guns, can be bought. If you are interested in shooting on the Estate, please contact Paddy Byrne on 0035 3872 647391.

A ride past bluebells on the Bodnant EstateRiding

We are taking steps to develop the opportunities for riding on the Estate, including restoring more of the private rides and making the gates more rider-friendly.
Unfortunately, we are not yet able to offer this – but please bear us in mind if you wish to take an equestrian holiday in future.

We hope within the next few years to be able to offer some or all of the following equestrian facilities:

pony trekking
equestrian holidays (for those bringing their own horses with them)
riding for those living locally (on a subscription basis)
livery stable facilities
a cross-country course
the use of a ménage
