Timber, Christmas Trees & other woodland products

TimberMature beech in Coed Goleu

We frequently have timber for sale on the Bodnant Estate, whether standing or felled.
The Estate is particularly rich in mature oak, which awaits thinning and could be sold either standing (as green oak) or felled.
The Estate also has a number of large, mature softwoods.

To purchase standing or felled timber, please contact the Estate Manager (see the Contact Us page).

Christmas trees awaiting saleChristmas trees

We have a limited supply of high quality Christmas trees on the Estate, both mature and approaching maturity. If you are a trade purchaser interested in purchasing Christmas trees, please contact the Estate Manager (see the Contact Us page).

Christmas trees from the Estate are also retailed at the Bodnant Plant, Gift and Craft Centre, and at the Rookery (see below).

Firewood, green oak and wood for wood-turning

At the Rookery, a timber yard on the Estate, a variety of firewood (hardwood and softwood) is for sale, as well as some green oak, wood for wood-turning and other woodland products. This is not a Bodnant Estate enterprise, but instead is run by Simon Plummer. Please

visit Simon Plummer at the Rookery, near Furnace Farm (half a mile north of Tal-y-Cafn on the A470 – follow the signs). His normal opening hours are 9 am to 4 pm on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays; or
telephone Simon Plummer on 01492 596662 or 0788 186 3998 (mobile) to arrange for collection or delivery.
