The Bodnant Estate leases out it’s sporting rights to three separate shooting consortiums. The Estate does not operate it’s own in hand shoot.
The sporting rights are split into three separate shoots, The West Shoot, The East Shoot and Main Shoot.
Comprising of 1350 acres or mature hardwood & softwood trees, the topography of the shoot lends itself to some fantastic banks with the potential to show some exceptional high birds. Quite a number of spinneys, copses, bracken bank etc. make up the remainder of the shoot, also several acres of game cover, a lake & several ponds.
There are a limited number of 100/150 bird days available, also some semi driven/walked up days of 50/60 birds. These will include pheasant, duck & woodcock when available. The shoot is renowned for its woodcock.
A typical driven day will compromise of 5/6 pheasant drives, one duck drive, depending on the days shooting (8 Guns)
A semi driven walked up day will comprise of several small drives with some walked up in-between again pheasant, duck & wood cock when available.
A hamper lunch to eat in the field can be provided.
Ty Gobaith Charity Shoot
In 2017, thanks to the wonderful generosity of sponsors and participants, the Ty Gobaith Charity Shoot raised a record £84,700.
This giving a total raised to date of £260,000 - what an amazing result which has made a significant difference to life at Tŷ Gobaith!
The event will again be taking place on the 23rd May 2018.
